1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Vadient ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Vadient is a standalone cycling computer application for Apple Watch that displays real-time cycling metrics including speed, gradient, elevation, distance, moving time, and elevation gain. The App saves completed rides to Apple HealthKit.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple Watch devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Distribute, license, or sell the App or any part of it
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App

5. Safety Disclaimer

Vadient is a supplementary cycling tool and should never be relied upon as your sole source of navigation or safety information.

• Always prioritize road awareness and safe cycling practices over checking your watch.
• Gradient, speed, elevation, and distance readings are estimates derived from device sensors (GPS and barometric altimeter) and may contain inaccuracies.
• Do not interact with the App while cycling in traffic or hazardous conditions.
• Vadient is not a medical device. Heart rate and workout data are for informational purposes only and should not be used for medical decisions.

6. Accuracy of Data

Vadient relies on Apple Watch hardware sensors including GPS and barometric altimeter. Data accuracy depends on sensor quality, environmental conditions, satellite availability, and atmospheric pressure changes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data displayed by the App.

7. HealthKit Data

If you grant permission, Vadient writes cycling workout data to Apple HealthKit. This data is governed by Apple's HealthKit terms and your device privacy settings. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your Apple Watch or iPhone settings.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Vadient and is protected by intellectual property laws. The Vadient name and logo are trademarks of Vadient.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vadient shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vadient from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for any reason. Upon termination, your license to use the App is immediately revoked.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
